Sight Words
"Knowing a core of high frequency words is a valuable resource for students as they build their reading and writing processing systems. In general, students learn the simpler words in earlier grades (K-3) and in the process develop efficient systems for learning words. They continually add to the core of high-frequency words they know as they move to late primary and early intermediate grades. District 25 has dedicated lists for students in K-3 to master."
